1. What are the requirements do I have to meet?
There are three requirements that you need to meet:
1. Age - At least 18 year old in order to qualify for registration.
2. Qualification - At least an O Level or a Diploma qualification to register.
3. Residency - Singaporean, Permanent Resident or a Foreigner holding a student pass or work permit.
3. What must I submit to Ace Star Tuition?
After registration, please email us your certs and both sides of your ID to [email protected]. Only verified tutors will be shortlisted for our assignments.
3. What are the requirements for your certificates to be accepted?
For your certificate to be accepted, you need to ensure the following:
1. Organisation or school emblem and authorised signatories has to appear on the cert
2. The text on the certificate has to be legible
3. The resolution of the certificate image has to be 100dpi or higher
4. The certificate should be scanned in full. Partial certificate will be rejected.
5. The certificate has to be scanned in colour or grayscale. Black and white images may not be accepted, depending on the quality.
6. The certificate has to be relevant to what you are teaching
7. We will not accept result slip if the certificates for that year has already been issued
8. If your certificate is in a language other than English or Chinese, you need to email us the full translation of the certificate.
4. What do I prepare for the first lesson?
This checklist ensures that you are well-prepared for the first lesson:
5. How do I know if I am accepted after the first lesson?
We will call you to inform you after we have talked to the parent. If the parent informed you to come again next week, then it is considered to be accepted. Otherwise, wait for our calls or call us to confirm.
6. What are the commission charges?
We charge fifty percent of the first month's tuition fee as commission from tutors. Parents / guardians do not have to pay any charges. We will collect the payment directly from the parents / guardian after the 4th lesson for a eight lessons monthly frequency duration.
There are some occasions where the customer specifically request us to collect from the tutor. In this case, we will send the invoice to you and you will collect the full payment from the customer. The instructions on how to make payment to us can be found in the email.
In the event where customer pays us the full month payment, we will then transfer the balance to your bank account.
7. How do we handle cheating cases?
Ace Star Tuition has a harsh policy on cheating cases. If found out, the tutor's assignment will be terminated immediately, blacklisted permanently and a police report may be made.
8. How to we handle disputes on service rendered?
Parents / Guardian may dispute that a tutor has rendered poor service and refused payment. However, if the tutor is able to provide strong evidence in writing that lesson was given properly, we will proceed with billing.
If the parents / guardian still refuses to pay, Ace Star Tuition will proceed with legal action via Small Claims Tribunal depending on the amount involved.
Ace Star Tuition has successfully reclaimed payment for tutors for non-paying customers.

- Have the full address of the customer
- Have found out how to get to the place. The driving direction and surrounding bus services is given in the first lesson confirmation email.
- Store the customer's number and the coordinator's number in your phone. In case you are lost on that day, you will be able to contact us.
- Bring your relevant certificates and your NRIC. If you have uploaded these and have them verified, you do not need to bring it down.
- If you have some notes from your previous tuition, you can bring it along.
- On the first lesson, you need to establish what areas the student is weak in.
